Billing and Doctor's Assisting School is an educational facility approved by the Division of Private Business and Vocational Schools of the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE), Workforce Development offices of WIOA and IETC, National Healthcare Association and Presidents Office of Employment Training (POET) GI Bill (Veterans). We offer medical and dental assistant training and award diplomas upon successful completion of each course. Our school has been in the business since the year 2000.
Our instructors are all professionals in their respective fields and provide a comprehensive and personalized classroom experience. Throughout the year the school turns over 45-50 students. The classes are offered in the morning as well as the nights and weekends.
Every student, upon enrollment gets his/her own textbook, notebook, and the uniform to be worn at the rotation and practices in the dental or medical offices. Those who take medical billing receive a CD with the tutorial version of MediSoft billing software. The classes are in intentionally kept small in order to provide higher quality education to individual students.
Medical office assistant program prepares students for entry-level medical office support roles. Emphasis is placed on general secretarial skills and medical office knowledge and procedures. Microcomputer skills are developed to enhance office productivity as it applies to medical office word processing, transcription, data entry, medical record filing, medical insurance billing, accounting and medical office management.
Our programs are designed for 3-4 months and that is a niche of our business. In a very short time, students obtain qualifications that are in high demand at the current job market and become extremely competitive in the job market. Historically, 95% of our graduates were able to get job placement in less than one month. At the end of the program every student is taught how to fill out a job application, write a good resume. Our school's staff takes extra steps to ensure that the students are ready and are competitive in the job market.
Employment of medical and dental assistants is projected to grow 23 percent from 2014 to 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations. The growth of the aging baby-boom population will continue to increase demand for preventive medical services, which are often provided by physicians. As their practices expand, physicians will hire more assistants to perform routine administrative and clinical duties, allowing the physicians to see more patients.
Billing and Doctor's Assisting Inc. does not provide Placement Assistance Services. Billing and Doctor's Assisting Inc. will provide each student with extensive resume assistance. There is also a job board located at the facility where many corporations post job request.
